Conquering Conflict Print

WELCOME ICEBREAKER

What was your highlight of the week?

WORSHIP

Psa. 103:1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul!
Praise his holy name, all that is within me.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and never forget all the good he has done:
He is the one who forgives all your sins, the one who heals all your diseases,
the one who rescues your life from the pit, the one who crowns you with mercy and compassion,
the one who fills your life with blessings so that you become young again like an eagle.

WORD

This past week we looked at how we can conqueror conflict in our lives. Jesus told us we would have to face it and the Bible gives us plenty of instruction on how to live in victory. There is a “work-it-out” zone we live in with a slippery slope on either side. For some, they try to conqueror conflict by escaping it and lose. Others go into the attack mode and lose. Those who win learn how to put others first and work it out.

Have your group look up the scriptures below and share what instruction they think each verse is giving on conquering conflict and where it fits in the “work-it-out” zone.
Col. 3:12-16
Prov. 19:11
Eph. 6:18

WORK

It is never the same after you pray. Encourage the group with Matthew 18:19,20. When we are in harmony and willing to work together is please the Lord and He is in our midst ready to answer our prayers.
