The Power of the Cross Print

WELCOME ICEBREAKER

What is your greatest memory of being a witness for the Lord?

WORSHIP

In Matthew 14 we read how Peter and the other disciples were in awe of the supernatural presence of Jesus when they recognized that it was Him who was walking on the water. Give Him praise for being the same yesterday, today and forever!

WORD

Review how Jesus told Andrew and John to come and see. Two action words; come — take a step in His direction and see — check it out for themselves. These are the same words Philip would use for his friend Nathanael and likely what Andrew told his big brother Simon.

Read Acts 5:31,32

WORK

Pray that, as the diffuser of the fragrance of the Lord (2 Corinthians 2:14), we will recognize the scent we bring with us - that it gives us an opportunity to present the good news to others. Pray that we have a greater revelation of the power of the cross in our lives. Has this lesson helped you? Please let us know! Email home group testimonies with this form!

And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance.
