  4. We believe that Christ-followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. This includes the concepts of personal authenticity, character, and wholeness. Ephesians 4:25-26, 32, Hebrews 12:1, Philippians 1:6
  5. We believe that a church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women stewarding their spiritual gifts. This includes the concept of unity, servant-hood, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and ministry callings. I Corinthians 12, 14, Romans 12, Ephesians 4, Psalm 133:1
  6. We believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. This includes the aspect of love driven ministry, ministry accomplished in home/small groups, teams and relationship building. I Corinthians 13, Nehemiah 3, Luke 10:1, John 13:34-35
  7. We believe that life-change happens best in home groups or small groups. This includes the concept of discipleship, vulnerability, and accountability. Luke 6:12-13, Acts 2:44-47

Statement of Faith

Our statement of faith, the very foundation upon which Coastal Church is built. As a full-gospel ministry we preach and teach the following principles:

  • We believe in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22

  • We believe the Old and New Testament are God's divinely inspired words. Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13

  • We believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Genesis 1:26-31,3:1-7; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Psalm 51:5; John 6:44; Romans 5:12-21; I Corinthians 2:14

  • We believe salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all people. Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31,35; John 3:16; I Corinthians 15:3; II Corinthians 5:21

  • We believe that by confessing their sins to God, every believer will be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9

  • We believe it is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak with new tongues. Joel 2:28; Acts 2:4, 8:14-19

  • We believe healing is provided in the redemption work of Christ and is available to every believer. Exodus 15:26; Psalm 107:20; James 5:14-15; Acts 10:38; I Peter 2:24

  • We believe every believer is to grow up into the Lord through study of the Word, prayer, and renewing of the mind. Romans 12:1-2; II Corinthians 10:4-5

Ecclesiastes 12:7; Luke 8:55, 23:43; Romans 5:12; II Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23
