Proverb of the Day Print

WELCOME ICEBREAKER

For what are you thankful?

WORSHIP

Come into His presence with thanksgiving by singing, praise reports or read a passage of scripture like Psalm 148.

WORD

This week take the Proverb of the day (for instance, if your group meets Tuesday, May 18, read Proverbs 18) and read it through as a group. Let the group know before you start reading that they need to have one key thought to share from the Proverb with the group after you complete reading it.

If possible have different translations of the Bible handy, as some verses read quite different in various translations.

The Proverbs are full of practical wisdom for daily wisdom. Encourage the group afterwards to incorporate into their daily reading a Proverb a day. This is a great way for new believers to start daily readings.

WORK

Plan an outing with your group and use this opportunity to invite out new people and those who have been missing for some time. Try and get your group outside of the home setting once every two months to get to know others in a different setting.

Once again thank you for sending in your home group reports.

Pray for the needs of the group, and also, Pastor Cheryl and I ask your prayers as we are overseas for the next week. Remember the next Summit meeting is combined on Thursday May 27.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments.
