WELCOME ICEBREAKER What was a recent answer to prayer you had? WORSHIP Acts 2:46-47 — Review noting the results of praising God. WORD Read Matthew 6:5-7 and Luke 10:38-42. - What is your place of prayer — your prayer room?
- Martha was distracted
- What distracted her?
- As a group discuss what distracts us and why the enemy persists at this.
- How do we balance serving and keeping our God-given priorities?
- If Jesus was to take Mary aside, what advice do you think He would give her?
- Jesus said Martha was worried and troubled about many things. What effect does this have on our prayer life? How should we handle this?
- Read 1 Peter 5:6-7
- What do you think it means the Father will reward us openly?
- Read Psalm 91:1-16 and if time permits review the benefits of dwelling in the secret place. Remember to keep discussion time to about 45 minutes.
