WELCOME ICEBREAKER

Who was your best friend in grade school?

WORSHIP

Psalm121 - A song for going up to worship.
I look up toward the mountains. Where can I find help?
My help comes from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let you fall. Your guardian will not fall asleep.
Indeed, the Guardian of Israel never rests or sleeps.
The Lord is your guardian. The Lord is the shade over your right hand.
The sun will not beat down on you during the day, nor will the moon at night.
The Lord guards you from every evil. He guards your life.
The Lord guards you as you come and go, now and forever.

WORD

As a group read Mark 2:1-12.
  • What stands out to you in this passage?
  • How would you describe the friendship between these five men?
  • How did these men demonstrate a high level of friendship?
  • How do you think the crowd felt when they saw the man lowered through the broken roof? How about the owner of the house?
  • Why are the religious people upset?
    • They were worried about the roof.
    • They didn’t believe that Jesus was the Son of God.
    • They didn’t accept the connection of spiritual and physical healing?
    • They thought Jesus was being disrespectful to God?
  • In a crisis situation at 3:00 AM which four friends would you call to carry you?
