WELCOME ICEBREAKER

What do people complain about in your workplace? Or What do you consider to be the most stressful thing about your work?

WORSHIP

Home groups leaders I again encourage you to use the praise and worship DVD’s for your worship time.

WORD

As a group read Matthew 20:1-16 and discuss the passage (Remember as leaders your role is to facilitate the discussion).
  1. What does this parable say to you about God and His kingdom?
  2. How would people in your work place respond if they were the ones who worked all day in the heat and saw others paid the same wage that only worked an hour?
  3. From a strictly business perspective, how would you react to the landowner’s wage practices?
    1. He was unfair to those who started early.
    1. He should have paid the latecomers discreetly.
    1. He was a compassionate man.
    1. He didn’t have a business mind.
    1. Other.
  4. Why are identical wages given to all the employees?
  5. Do you ever envy the blessing of God in the lives of others? Why? How do you deal with it?

Pray for the needs of those in your group. Pray for the new home groups that are starting. Also please contact Jen Neuman if you are able to help with the dessert night this Sunday.
