WELCOME ICEBREAKERWhat is your biggest financial challenge? WORSHIP
Encourage your group to thank God for the abundance He has entrusted to us. We really have so much more than most of the world. WORD
As a group read Matthew 25:14-30. Discussion questions: - Why did the servant with one talent hide his money? (Look closely at verses 24-27)
- How would you sum up the message of this parable?
- Do you think most Christians feel responsible to increase their resources so they can be a greater blessing to others? (We can see from verses 35-40 Jesus is expecting us to give what we have.)
- The master gave the talents to each according to their respective abilities. What could you do today to increase your ability to handle money?
- If we are prepared we will be able to see and seize the opportunities that come our way. The servants that received the five and two talents started trading right away. If God was to bring a sum of money to you what actions would be prepared to take today to double it?
- What excuses would people give to God today for not being good stewards of the money God has entrusted to them?
- Money is a tool not the target. What suggestions can you give to keep this perspective?
WORKPray for each other in your group for the wisdom to handle the resources God has given us. Pray for the start of Celebrate Recovery and the Alpha courses. Challenge your group to invite someone out to church this weekend.
