OVERVIEW

The mission of Coastal Church is to make disciples that will enjoy the abundant LIFE of Jesus Christ as given by God the Father through the power of the Holy Spirit. This is established by:

  • Leadership training so every member is equipped to minister;
  • Integrity by walking in the truths of the Bible by faith;
  • Family oriented, promoting Godly homes and relationships;
  • Evangelism of our city, our nation, and our world.

The Bible School at Coastal Church is a great example of equipping disciples for LIFE! The dynamic and foundational curriculum of the International School of Ministry (ISOM) will intensify your relationship with Jesus Christ, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the Word of God.

The Bible-centered courses equip you with relevant training you can practically apply to church-life, your family and in the marketplace.

In each of the 5 semesters, you will receive rich teaching by distinguished instructors, via DVD and instructors from Coastal Church, who impart powerful Biblical truths within their areas of expertise. Following each lesson, small group discussions offer question and answer opportunities with the instructors and an exchange of feedback with classmates. Weekly assignments further develop spiritual discipline and comprehension within your studies.

The Course Outline is available on-line.

The Winter 2008 schedule is designed to fit your lifestyle and offers convenient evening classes every Tuesday from February 5-April 22. Through DVD instruction and translation, classes can be designed around a variety of languages.

Upon successful completion of the first 3 semesters, students receive an ISOM Certificate. Those who successfully complete all 5 semesters graduate the program with an ISOM Diploma.

ISOM course credits are directly transferable to US universities and institutions such as Christian Leadership University (CLU), Vision International University and the Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI).

Canadian seminaries, as well as Christian universities and colleges, such as ACTS Seminaries, Regent College, Trinity Western University, Christ for the Nations and others will take course credits taken through ISOM into consideration.

TESTIMONY

Attending Bible School, my Home Group and the Sunday Services really help me to be focused on God and to remove the distractions in my life.

The Bible School not only will help you to keep your mind on God, but also to:

  • grow spiritually
  • understand more of the Bible
  • grow in your faith
  • find out your gifts and calling
  • and make good friends.

The Bible School is also a great place to share and pray for your needs. I remember coming to the class sometimes heavy with my needs, but by the end of the class I would feel strong again or I would have an answer to my need.

One example of that was the night when Michael Bartel was preaching about faith. At the end of the class, we practiced what we learned and we prayed for our needs. I prayed for my sister because she had two big cysts in her ovary and had to have an operation to remove them. While we were praying, God spoke to me very clearly saying, “She is healed. I am healing her right now”. A few days later, when my sister had another check up, the doctor couldn’t find them. Praise the Lord she was healed that night.

My prayer is that, as you take Bible school, your life is going to be changed as mine was changed.
