Prayer for our Police Officers: 

Father, in Jesus’ name, we give You thanks for the police officers that serve us. We lift before You the men and women who are called to maintain public order and uphold the rule of law. We pray that the Holy Spirit rests upon them and that your guardian angles surround them. Protect them and their families with the shield of Your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm. We ask that skillful and Godly wisdom would be in the heart of Chief Constable Jim Chu and each officer under his command. May discretion watch over them; understanding keep them and deliver them from the way of evil and from evil men. Father we pray specifically that You would give them wisdom to reduce the illegal drug trade, reduce property crime and suppress the violent gang activity in Vancouver. We ask that You would guide them to serve our city with honesty and integrity. Grant them grace to work with the public, the city officials and courts. Give their families the strength and courage to stand with them as they serve and protect the citizens of our city. We ask God that You would provide our police force with the resources and manpower that they need to fulfill their duties. Lord we thank You for the Vancouver Police Department and we commit to pray for them and work with them for the good of the city. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
