Considered by many to be an expert on China, David Wang is a highly sought after speaker for international mission conventions and congresses. His burden for China keeps him in close personal contact with the Church there.

David comes from an affluent Shanghai business family. As a teenager, he came to Hong Kong to complete his education. In 1966, David joined Asian Outreach, an inter-denominational mission agency committed to winning Asians to Christ. Under his leadership AO has become a recognized pioneer in mission evangelism throughout Asia.

David’s leadership in Asian Outreach is highly acclaimed.  Dr. C. Peter Wagner acknowledges Asian Outreach as one of the finest missions today. Dr. and Mrs. Billy Graham describe Asian Outreach as “most effective in reaching into the closed countries of Asia.” Dr. Ted Engstrom of World Vision says,  “I have the highest regard for Asian Outreach!”

David’s academic achievements include a Master’s Degree in Missiology from Fuller Theological Seminary; the prestigious Donald McGavran Award for furthering International Church Growth; and an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from International Institute of Church Ministries. He is an ordained missionary-pastor of his church, New Life Temple in Hong Kong.  David is married to Alice, and they have two sons.
