Jesus Talks to the Doubters Print

WELCOME ICEBREAKER

As a child what was your favourite pet and what was its name?

WORSHIP

Take time to prepare songs or a Psalm that brings praise to Jesus for His care for us as the Good Shepherd.

WORD

As a group read John 10:19-39.

  1. What claim that Jesus makes in this passage do you like the most?
  2. As a group brainstorm about what brings on doubt in our lives.
  3. What do you think caused these Jews to doubt that Jesus was the Son of God?
  4. Why did the Jews come and initiate this conversation in verse 24?
  5. What evidence did they have that Jesus was the Christ?
  6. Why do you think they did not believe?
  7. Why did they want to stone Jesus in verse 31 and how does it compare to the attempt on His life in John 8:56-59?
  8. What was going through the disciple’s minds at this time as they hear the numerous threats on Jesus’ life?
  9. Jesus tells the doubters in verse 38 that if they don’t believe Him, then believe the works. How would this apply to someone today who doubted the claims that Jesus makes?
