Read Genesis 3:1-7

1. What was Satan’s strategy to lure Eve away from God?
   1. Steer the conversation to:
      • How Satan gets us to question God’s word.
      • How Satan paints a picture of God being hard and pointing out the one tree they could not eat from when they had a whole garden to enjoy.
      • How Satan makes sin look appealing.
      • Compare this with 1 John 2:15,16
2. What are the downward steps of temptation as seen in this first temptation?
   1. Steer the conversation in this direction;
      • She looked, she took, she ate, and she gave.
      • Why do you think Satan tempted Eve and not Adam?
      • Adam and Eve were ashamed and hid after yielding to temptation. How do people hide today?
