+ OUTREACH PARTNERS

Below is a list of partners that Coastal Church works together with in local and international outreach efforts:

>

ALPHA CANADA

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course includes ten meals and an amazing Holy Spirit Weekend that comes halfway through the 10-week course. The course meets once per week. In Canada, over a quarter of a million people have now taken Alpha. There are 1,300 churches offering the course today from coast to coast and some 15,000 leaders have been trained at Alpha conferences in Canada.
Hundreds more register each month as church leaders from all denominations report the astonishing impact the course has on non-churchgoers and existing Christians in their areas. And it's spreading fast to many secular locations - prisons, businesses and schools.

ASIAN OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL

Coastal Church has been partnering with Asian Outreach International through financial support and by sending small teams (5-10 people) over the last few years to serve in the local churches and communities in countries like Cambodia, Thailand, and Mongolia

  "AGAPE" AID CENTER - UKRAINE

Through their various camp activities, they give these children a safe place to be during their winter school break as an alternative to being in the streets. More importantly, they provide an opportunity for these children to hear about the love of Christ.

  SALVATION ARMY - HOMESTEAD

Vancouver's downtown eastside is one of the poorest places in all of Canada. Drugs and alcohol are commonplace. The Salvation Army has a facility to help women who want to recover from their addiction; women who want a fresh start.

Homestead is a support recovery facility for women located away from the downtown eastside. Homestead runs an abstinence based, harm reduction program grounded on the idea that any addict can stop using, lose the desire to use, and find a new life in recovery.

SEEDS OF HOPE

WATOTO CHILD CARE MINISTRY

Watoto currently operates 3 children's villages and cares for over 1500 children. The villages include individual homes, each accommodating 8 children and a house mother, a complete school system for the children and the surrounding communities, plus the entire infrastructure to support a community. The result is a self-sustaining village that serves the children while providing employment for women and teachers, and steady jobs for laborers.
