Christmas 2025_Gloria_Gloria

Over two thousand years ago, beneath the stillness of a night sky, a group of shepherds wearily watched their sheep. Then, the darkness broke. A majestic host of angels filled the sky with a burst of light and a bold melody: “Glory to God in the highest!” Their heavenly song declared the best news of all—the Saviour of the world had been born. In an instant, the shepherds’ weary serenity was transformed into eternal hope and wondrous joy.

Just like those shepherds on that first Christmas night, this year, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Come experience the glory, the peace, and the transformative joy of Christmas.

The impact of Jesus’ coming was like the breaking of a new dawn, offering renewal and a fresh start for believers. Let us remember that this holy night is not just a story, it’s an invitation to receive the love and peace that Christ offers, and to share that light with a weary world still in need of hope.

On the most anticipated night of the year, join us for a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Services across our various campuses. Featuring classic carols, the timeless lighting of the candles, and a special, moving message of hope. It’s an intimate time of reflection and reverence to prepare your heart for Christmas morning as we worship our Saviour, Christ the Lord.

This is a cherished tradition for many families. Plan to join us at the campus nearest you and mark your calendars for this truly special service! You can watch online at 4:00 & 6:00 PM.

Millions of people around the world are preparing to give today to organizations and causes that are doing good work. At Coastal Church, our mission is to HELP make the city a better place through honouring, embracing, listening, praying, and serving with and/or for our community.

Because of your generosity and support, we are able to share the Gospel, disciple believers, do the work of the ministry and serve our community with the love of Jesus. To participate in what God is doing through Coastal Church, we invite you to give and select General Missions as a giving designation.

Eden

Our Coastal Church Eden core team is a group of urban missionaries dedicated to intentional living in Vancouver’s DTES neighbourhood. Funds go towards DTES programs and the Coastal Eden Cafe – which provides employment opportunities for marginalized individuals, and those needing a second chance.

Prison Gifts

For 10 years, Coastal Church has been giving Christmas packages to the inmates at Mission’s minimum and medium security correctional facilities. Four years ago, we expanded this outreach to the Matsqui Institution. This year, we’re extending the same care to 400 inmates at the Pacific Institution, bringing total gifts to 1,175.

Dinner With The Father

This year, we will be participating in our 21st year of providing a special “Dinner with the Father” for Vancouver Friends for Life Society members – a wellness centre supporting those who are alone in their fight with life-challenging illnesses.

Boxes of Hope

Whole Way House is preparing 700 Boxes of Hope to help seniors, veterans and vulnerable residents feel extra loved on Christmas. Drop off your Boxes of Hope until December 15th at Eden Café. Packing a present is easy, just visit wholewayhouse.ca to learn more!

Christmas Hampers for Vancouver Urban Ministries

Eden Ministries is partnering with VUM by sending volunteers to tutor children with learning difficulties. For Christmas, we are preparing 10 hampers for 10 local low-income families whose children are receiving complimentary tutoring. These visits allow us to connect with them personally, pray and share the love of Christ.

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
