Coastal School of Missions is a 8-month Bible intensive with the purpose of raising up a transformed generation, equipped with a vibrant faith and outfitted with the spiritual training necessary to impact the world for Christ. We strive to create an atmosphere that fosters a deep and personal encounter with God, where students are immersed in the richness of His Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Our vision is to cultivate a community of passionate learners, dedicated to equipping themselves with a solid theological foundation, practical ministry skills, and a Christ-centered worldview.

Part Time Studies
We’re excited to announce that Coastal School of Missions continues to offer Open Courses taught by guest teachers and Pastors – both locally from our own province, and internationally from Sweden and Mexico. These courses will equip you with faith and a deep understanding of the Word of God to help you grow closer to Christ and fulfill His purpose. Also, as space is limited, this is offered only to Coastal Church family.
- Times: 9:30 AM -12:30 PM (Tuesday to Saturday)
- Location: In-Person Class – 1166 Alberni St. Room 205 (2nd floor) Downtown Vancouver, Coastal Church Office.
- Registration Cost:
- $100 CAD each course (flat fee for 5 days of classes)
- $40 CAD 2-Day course

Teacher: Pastor Carl-Gustaf Severin
This 2-day course offers an engaging exploration of the Book of Acts, tracing the birth and expansion of the early Church after Pentecost. Participants will study key events, themes, and figures—including the work of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of the apostles, and the spread of the gospel from Jerusalem to the nations.
Alongside rich biblical teaching, Carl-Gustaf Severin will also share powerful mission stories that ignite faith and bring the realities of global evangelism to life.
Through guided teaching and discussion, this course will help you understand the historical and theological significance of Acts, deepen your appreciation for the mission of the Church, and encourage you to live out your faith with boldness and purpose today.

Registration is a flat fee for the entire course, whether you participate in one class, or in all four. Course will not be livestreamed.

No, the school is for everyone who desires to grow in faith and obtain a biblical foundation for life. It will equip and empower you to fulfill the Great Commission, whether that is going back to your own sphere of influence or do the work of the ministry. It is also for those who would like to discover their ministry calling, missionary work. Everyone is welcome to apply.
IS THERE ANY HOMEWORK AND EXAMS?
Yes, there will be book reading, memorizing of scriptures, and short easy quizzes at the end of each course.
No, every student needs to procure their own parking for the duration of the school term. Coastal Church does not provide complimentary parking nor have any stalls available for rent.
ANY AGE RESTRICTION?
Anyone over 18 years can apply!
DO YOU NEED AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT VISA?
You will need a visa to stay legally for the 8 months school term. Please note – we are not an accredited school, and we’re unable to issue you a letter to apply for any immigration visa.
IS THERE A CHILDCARE?
There is no childcare.
